Believe it or not, I only went on a couple of dates and most of them were with you.
[not that he wasn't interested or even tried, but it had been more natural to fall into doing work than worrying about dating outside of all the flirting he did with the girls who worked in the shops around his. If he'd been 18 again, then it would have been an entirely different story.

[Zack can be as flirty as Eiden, as he knows - and while it isn't as obvious around guys, it'll still come out with a little prompting. Because Zack is shameless and having someone flirt back is just as great as flustering them, in his opinion. And that first one is pretty rare.

[ Eiden clinks his glass against Zack's and grins at the toast itself. Since he left home, it's been easier and easier to live life at the fullest. So, he brings the drink back and takes a sip of it, since they both said their toasts. ]
It's not as sweet as it looks. Pretty good!
[ He expected it to be very sweet, though. And he doesn't mind anything sweet, either. ]
[he decided a while ago that he had to take advantage of all of this, so encouraging others to do so is just the next, logical step. He follows Eiden in taking a sip, making a pleasantly surprised noise at the taste. He was expecting much sweeter, too]

Do you have any plans yet? For what you're going to do here.
[ The truth is...he doesn't know exactly how to answer Zack's question. He had a job at home, he had a mission in Klein, he had something he was starting in Nippon, but he hasn't figured out anything here. Not yet, at least. There was a lot of ways to go here. But, he did have one thought he could share. ]
I may finally finish what I started in Nippon. I'm also pretty good at making clothes. Well, really good at it. Maybe I can do that. I mean, we're starting over. Can do whatever you want, you know?
What about you? I can't imagine you not making the best of it.
[Zack turns a little to give Eiden his full attention, drink in hand. He's genuinely interested, he's always been so single-minded about the things he's wanted to do in the past that sometimes he'd prefer that over having all the options he does. He nods along, trying to remember he'd asked what Eiden did before, but -]
Making clothes sounds like a really handy skill to have. You'll have to show me, even if you decide to do something else. What were you going to do in Nippon?

I haven't decided yet. I thought about doing what I did in Nippon too, but there's the guilds, too - I'm just taking temporary jobs until I can see how all that goes.
[ Eiden has always been a bit of a jack of all trades. He's spent so long hopping from job to job that when he settled down in his career on Earth, it was a surprise and relief. He's glad for the job he had, despite how busy he always was. Despite how much it destroyed his social life. He did, ultimately, enjoy it.
But the change of pace had been nice. ]
